Loving greetings from the Valley of Angels with Psalm 103:1-4. “BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits–Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and CROWNS you with loving-kindness and tender mercy” (AMP).
After all these weeks and months of hyped up narrative that has been trying to “crown” (corona means crown) a diabolical weapon of mass destruction in the SARS coV2 virus, I want to remind you of the CROWN that our Father has designed for us! It is His chesed (lovingkindness, mercy, love, favor) and rachamim (tender mercies, like those of a mother for her infant child). These are key components of His character as He described Himself to Moses on Mount Sinai in Exodus 34:5-7.
The word atar, translated, “crown,” is a verb that means to surround, encompass, or encircle. Can you see that the One who forgives our iniquities and heals all our diseases creates an enclosure of protection that is made of extensions of His own loving nature? His kindness and deep compassion are the tabernacle in which we are meant to dwell. It is the “secret place of the Most High” that we know from Psalm 91. It is truly a place of safety in His Presence, and He gives it to us even as a crown, for His lovingkindness and tender mercies are among the most shining and glorious of His attributes. How He deserves our affectionate gratitude and worship from our very innermost being! “His greatness is unsearchable!” Let our souls rise up and BLESS HIM!
Raise Up an Altar of Worship
Last Wednesday, I received a telephone call from Marta Segura, a prophetic intercessor in Argentina. She was weeping under the anointing as the Lord had given her a word for me, and He gave her orders to call me with it: “Te necesito levantarme un altar de adoración. Te bendigo.”
Thankfully, my Spanish is still good enough that I understood the message from the Lord: “I need you to raise Me up an altar of worship. I bless you.”
While still praying into what was on the Lord’s heart with this message, I reached out to share it with a number of people in the US, Canada, India, Japan, Congo, South Africa, Malawi, Nigeria, Haiti, and Argentina. The responses were either, “Yes, we will join you,” or “the Lord had spoken to us to do the same thing, so we are already doing it!”
The Lord is up to something in preparation for the outpouring of His Spirit upon all flesh! “O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people” (Psalm 117:1).
I was recently reading in Anna Rountree’s book, The Priestly Bride (now published in tandem with her first book under the title, Heaven Awaits the Bride. You can get it in our bookstore). In it she describes how she was riding with Jesus on something like a fiery Ferris wheel, and the flames were thousands of fiery seraphim. As they rode it, the seraphim sang a song of the purest, ardent worship to the Lord. The more they sang, the more light poured through Jesus’ skin.
When she commented about it, Jesus replied, “Light does pass through My skin.” He said. “But Anna, light can pass through your skin, for those who draw near to Me are light bearers. The nearer they come, the more light passes through their skin to others.”
She remembered Moses and the solitary, separated life he lived with God, and how he had to cover his face because of the light that was generated by his time spent with God. Jesus explained to her, “There is a separation that occurs, Anna. As one draws closer to God, there is a burning away of the dimness over the eyes of the mind and the eyes of the heart. For these the world loses its luster. The ingenuity of mankind becomes a passing spectacle that only causes the person to turn with a sigh back to God.…When the True comes, that which is but a copy, but a reworked speck of a magnificent whole, cannot hold that person’s interest. God alone can capture their spirits, hearts, souls and bodies.”
Then Jesus began to praise the Father. In response, the seraphim burned more brightly. “Oh, incomparable Father, who or what is like You? The vast universe is held in existence by the might of Your power. Each hair is numbered because of Your tender compassion. Who is like You, Father? How awesome in majesty! How faithful in covenant! Unsurpassed in beauty! Blessed are those who draw near to You. Blessed are those who dwell in You. They will forever praise You and minister to You the desires of your heart — love undivided, burning in the zeal of holiness, suitable for God alone. And those who draw near, those who enter, they will never go out again.”
He became pure worship before her eyes, glowing with “laser-white light.” The intensity of His worship came because of his intimate understanding and relationship with His Father.
Being in His Presence while He experienced and became worship, Anna’s zeal and passion for the Lord also increased.
I shared all that to express how one person or group worshiping will light up worship in others. We have been given a directive from Heaven. It’s not a request. God said that He needs us to raise up this altar of worship, and it’s not something that just one person can do by himself or herself. The synergy of worship that is created by a corporate body worshiping together is greater than the sum of the worship of the individuals participating. As that worship ascends to Heaven, the angels and saints can add to it so that it becomes even greater before it reaches the Throne of our Father. Will you help us raise up that altar?
By now I trust that you have gotten word about our annual convention, scheduled to be held July 7-10 at the Hyatt Regency DFW in Dallas, Texas. (The details are on our website.)
We were planning to have what we felt would be important equipping workshops as a part of this year’s convention, but as we’ve been praying into the orders from Heaven about raising an altar of worship to the Lord, we felt that instead, we should have worship sessions in the afternoons — no preaching or teaching, just worship! If you have been to our convention, you already know that the worship is glorious, but we are expecting it to be on an even more fervent level this year.
Pentecost is next week, and we are expecting as literal an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on that holiday as we experienced such a literal Passover when everyone was hunkered down, waiting for the pestilence to pass over.
We expect that this multiplication of the Holy Spirit operating in our lives is going to make this convention go off the charts!
However, because of the season of quarantine, replete with restrictions and fear mongering, very few (only a little over 10%) of the rooms we have blocked at the hotel have been reserved. It is impossible for our members from overseas to get visas, and we don’t know if there will even be flights from the nations by that time if they did have a visa. The border is still closed with Canada, and they are only going to reassess it in the latter part of June.
The vast majority of our usual attendees are in the age group which is being called, “at risk.” Many have logically concluded that they have good reason for staying home. We understand all those reasons, and we certainly don’t want anyone coming in fear, lest it open a door to darkness or sickness.
Beloved, we need your agreement in prayer for the Lord to raise up those valiant-hearted, courageous people who will attend because they have the “GO” word of the Lord in their hearts and the drawing of His Holy Spirit to come and participate in the corporate building of the altar of worship to the Lord that He has commanded.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to many who may have never attended before, and for those who haven’t come for a long time to come and reconnect; that every individual whom He calls to attend will arise and come in joyful obedience with travelling mercies. Pray for each one to actually hear a word from the Lord or get a deep peace within, knowing that they are to be there to participate.
Pray for favor with the hotel — this is the first time we have worked with them and the circumstances this year are unprecedented. Pray for the speakers: Jeremiah Johnson, Mark Bristow, Tony Kemp, Patricia King, Marylois Little, and me, that we will have the word of God for the hour that will break open the heavenlies and accomplish all that our Father has on His heart for this event, including equipping the saints for the work of the Lord. Pray for the expenses to be covered. This location is a greater distance for our staff to travel. Consequently, some of our costs will be higher. Most of all, pray for lives to be changed by the Holy Spirit, that orders from Heaven will be given and received, and that worship, intercession, and apostolic and prophetic decrees will accomplish the Lord’s agenda in the earth for this time.
We are truly grateful for each prayer as you stand with us in the Spirit to obey the directions of the Lord! And we so appreciate each gift. Some who are no longer physically able to attend the convention send an annual gift toward those expenses. We are so deeply moved by these outpourings of love.
Your handmaiden and servant,
Sharon and Philip
