Scripture Reading—Psalm 69:29-32

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.” (Psalm 69:30-32)

Bring Me your song, and I will know you love Me. Bring Me your ox and I will know you obey Me. It is possible to keep My laws and not love Me. They bring Me their “oxen and bullocks” together with their “horns and hoofs;” but there are two sets of horns and hoofs: those of the ox, and those in the heart of the one that brings them. With their horns they have pushed others out of the way and with their hoofs they have trampled the meek, poor, and needy. Yet they think I am well pleased with their gifts of service which they bring Me. Never think for one minute that I am happy with your service if you stand up behind My sacred desk and tear and rend or trample others of My children under your feet.

When you bring Me your song of praise from your heart, you bring Me your heart, and that is what I treasure, for it shows Me the real “you.”

When you bring your oxen and bullocks, the poor one, who has nothing to give, despairs of giving, but when you bring your song of praise, then the humble rejoice and have hope, for no man is so poor that he cannot bring a song of praise, and this song of praise shall renew the soul and give life and refreshing to the body and spirit. For the song of praise is life, healing, preservation, refreshing, upbuilding and restoration.

Many of My children only just exist because they do not bring Me the song of praise. But if you will indeed bring your songs of praise from a heart of praise you will bring Me the best gift and also bring life to others.
